COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) SYSTEMS

Concentrated natural gas is not flammable.

Natural gas is only flammable at a very low and narrow range of concentrations (5 - 15%). The high concentration of natural gas within dispensing facilities, storage cylinders and vehicle fuel systems prevent ignition.

Natural gas at the correct concentration for ignition requires a much higher temperature to ignite then petroleum products.
